Understanding United Healthcare Addiction Treatment Coverage: Admissions and Insurance Verification

Centric Behavioral Health accepts United Healthcare and most other major insurance companies. One of the first steps in our admissions process at Centric Behavioral Health is to verify your insurance and give you a consultation that’ll help us understand your treatment needs. Both the insurance verification and consultation will be 100% free to you. After your insurance is verified and you decide to enter care, we will help you explore which level of care is the right fit for you.

Levels of Care

Levels of care refer to different kinds of treatment programs or trajectories, which may be more or less intensive and have other specific features. The level of care that’s most suitable for you may depend on where you’re at in your recovery journey, the obligations you have outside of treatment, and other factors. United Healthcare insurance plans may help you cover the cost of any level of care offered at Centric Behavioral Health listed below.

programs

When you stop using substances, you may experience withdrawal symptoms that are uncomfortable or, in some cases, dangerous. The detoxification or "detox" program at our Florida United Healthcare drug rehab allows clients to get off of drugs and alcohol in a supportive environment with medical staff present in case of any concerns. Many clients opt to enter this level of care prior to their addiction treatment program (e.g., before entering inpatient treatment).

Inpatient programs

Inpatient programs provide the most intensive level of addiction treatment. When you're in an inpatient rehab program, you live, eat, and sleep at your treatment facility for the duration of the program. At Centric Behavioral Health, inpatient programs include extensive group therapy in addition to individual therapy, other treatments, and recreation activities. Many clients start with inpatient treatment because it gives them an opportunity to step away from daily life temporarily while developing the skills necessary to cope with and navigate obstacles after their program.

Partial hospitalization programs

Partial hospitalization programs or PHP are the highest level of outpatient care. At Centric Behavioral Health's United Healthcare drug addiction treatment center in Florida, PHP involves 6-8 hours per day of treatment activities similar to those seen in our inpatient programs, including therapy groups and individual therapy sessions. Clients will go to their treatment center five days weekly in PHP while living off campus, whether in our supportive housing facilities or elsewhere.

Intensive outpatient programs

Intensive outpatient programs, also called IOP, are a step below PHP in intensity. Our intensive outpatient programs generally involve 12-15 hours per week of therapy groups and once-weekly individual therapy. Other outpatient options at Centric Behavioral Health include recovery groups and individual therapy.

Outpatient programs

Centric Behavioral Health provides a range of outpatient services in addition to IOP, which are usually presented as a step-down form of care. These include but aren't limited to recovery groups, such as 12-step or alumni groups, continued therapy, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

Aftercare planning

Aftercare planning is a critical part of relapse prevention. As you prepare to exit your program, we will help you build a personalized aftercare plan. This may include finding providers (e.g., therapists) who accept your insurance, support groups, and more.
